Knit1

Ich bin mit meinen Überlegungen kein Stück weiter gekommen. Stattdessen hab ich das ungeliebte Teil zur Hand genommen und daran gestrickt, denn es soll ja nicht erst im nächsten Sommer fertig werden (gell, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaal! ;-)

Rowan Yorkshire Tweed Chunky, gestrickt mit Nadel 7 – der halbe Rücken war fertig, als ich heute morgen das Maßband zur Hand nahm und *SCHRECK*KRAISCH* feststellte, dass 9 cm in der Breite fehlen. Das Teil soll eine überdimensional große Jacke werden (SNUG, Rowan anno dazumal) und nun muss ich alles noch mal machen. Ich wird es mit Nadel 8 probieren. Aber: je dicker die Nadel, desto größer meine Unlust.

Ein neues Modell hab ich jedoch auch angeschlagen, bzw. habe ich ein paar Zopf- und Farbproben gemacht. Da ich mich nun endgültig von JULIA verabschiedet habe, überlege ich, ob ich aus dem Drops Alpaka nicht GEORGIE stricken soll, eine Strickjacke mit einfachem Zopf- und Rippenmuster von Sarah Dallas, das ich schon lange im Auge habe.

Still no decision on next knitting project. Instead, I worked on this coat sized cardigan, which I’m knitting for a friend. I want to finish it before next summer, so my friend will get a chance to actually wear it. The pattern is SNUG, from a very old Rowan magazin, and I’m knitting with Yorkshire Tweed Chunky, needle 7cm. I finished half of the back and today I had a closer look on the measures and *YIIIIIIIIIIEL* found out, that 9 cm in the width are missing. I have to frogg it, and I’ll try with needles no 8cm. No fun, as I prefer to knit with needles size 2.5 – 3.5cm. But I did cast on a new project, or let me say I swatched a bit: cables, colours, structure. I definitely said Sayonara toJULIA and asking myself if the Drops Alpaca would be suitable for GEORGIE, a simple cabled and ribbed cardigan, which is on my list for quite some time.

Und ich liebäugle mit diesen drei Modellen aus der aktuellen Knit.1. Mit diesen Handschuhen kann man auch sehr gut die aktuellen Kurzarmpullis tragen.

I also fancy these three patterns from the new Knit.1 With these gloves one can even wear all this trendy short length sweaters.

Ich mag Ponchos, breite Schals und Capes und dieses gefällt mir sehr!

I always had a liking for ponchos, wraps and capes and I really like this one!

Aber mein Lieblingsstück aus dem Heft ist dieser geschlitze Pulli-Jacke-Hybrid. Ich hätte da noch ein schönes Merino in Petrol….

But my favourite piece ist this slitted sweater-cardy-hybrid. I absolutely love it. I have some nice merino in a lovely petrol shade...
