Since Susan discovered that ggh’s Cumba is a perfect substitute for Rowan Kid Classic, I wanted to knit with this yarn.
I love Kid Classic a lot, but it’s not really a cheap yarn, but more important, sweaters out of this yarn are pretty warm.
A couple of days ago, Dana and I went to the Fadeninsel and I purchased a few balls of Cumba in a lovely dark grey shade. HEATHER, a simple ribbed sweater with cables designed by Kim Hargreaves (’A Season’s Tale’), is on my list for some time now and I’ve finally got the perfect yarn for it!
Besides Georgie and HARWOOD, this is the third cabled project I'm knitting these days…
I love cables, did I mention this before? ;-)
